We currently have places available throughout our school
The Governing Body of the School has one Local Education Authority governor, three Co-opted governors, two elected Parents, one member of Staff and the Headteacher, as well as two Associate governors. They meet four times a year and are responsible for the efficient running and upkeep of the school, through the Headteacher.
The current Chairperson is Mr Nigel Cross. Mr Cross can be contacted via the school telephone number or via the admin@linton.n-yorks.sch.uk email address.
The Governing Body’s Core Functions are;
- that the vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school are clearly defined
- that the headteacher performs their responsibilities for the educational performance of the school
- the sound, proper and effective use of the school’s financial resources
Governors should:
- act with integrity, objectivity and honesty and in the best interests of the school
- be open about the decisions they make and the actions they take and shall be prepared to explain their decisions and actions to interested parties
