We currently have places available throughout our school
To enhance the life of the school, parents and friends meet on an informal basis at the school. This group, which is open to all, meets to help organise events, to help with fund raising, and to promote the school within the community. The constitution of the Friends' of Linton-on-Ouse Primary School states as its objectives:
To advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by the LA).
To engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it.
Foster more extended relationships between staff, parents and friends of the school.
The Friends meet regularly throughout the school year organising events to either raise money for the benefit of the children of the school, or to provide opportunities for parents or pupils to have fun together. Regular fundraisers include the school discos, special events and assisting with refreshments at school events.
The money raised has been spent on a variety of things, such as; staging for special shows and assemblies, a shed for the garden club, a video camera, a Climbing Wall/ Archery Day, a birds of prey demonstration, a new winter swimming pool cover and coach hire for numerous and varied school trips.
