Level 3 Teaching Assistant/Before & After School Care
Village Schools Federation – working across Green Hammerton Primary School and Linton on Ouse Primary School and Nursery
We are looking for someone who loves working with children, is hard working and committed to energetic learning to join our fantastic team. The successful candidate will lead and support planned learning sessions within the school under the direction and guidance of a teacher and will provide other support in school as necessary.
The work will include set hours and also relief sessions for Wraparound care and GTA hours to cover illness/ staff training when needed. The candidate will need to have some flexibility to be able to cover where needed. Our operating hours are 0730-1800hrs.
The position is term time only with 5 teacher training days per academic year (39 weeks in total). The position is for hours across the federation. The appointment will commence ASAP.
We are looking for the right person, and are willing to look at negotiating hours, to ensure the school is staffed accordingly. Please do enquire and share if you have interest, including whether you are looking for part-time or full-time hours.

Key Requirements:
We are looking for someone who:
· Meets EYFS Level 3 TA standards or equivalent qualification or experience.
· Has a good understanding of how children learn and develop.
· Ideally has experience of working in a school, or a childcare setting.
· Is able to support the class teacher in meeting the needs of all children when working in class.
· Is able to deliver programmes of work for focus groups of pupils under the direction of the class teacher.
· Willing to work operating hours on a rota with other staff and understands the requirement to work as part of a team including wraparound care hours.
· Has a good understanding of Safeguarding.
· Be professional and act with integrity, and has strong time management skills.
· Is motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable.
· Can show initiative and is able to work as part of a team and is organised.
· Has excellent communication skills.
· Has technology skills and the required English/mathematics competencies.
