We currently have places available throughout our school
At Linton-on-Ouse Primary School and Nursery we like to celebrate our personal and class achievements, one of the ways we like to do this is during our Golden book assembly, this is a wonderful chance to show off and share these with everyone in school.
It could be a fabulous piece of work, a kind and thoughtful gesture, determination when things have been tricky, a sporting achievement or even something accomplished at home, and of course our reading rainforest and wows.
This assembly gives us the chance to invite our parents to join in too! Join us every Friday for Golden book assembly at 9:00am in the school hall.
All children selected to be in the golden book receive a Headteacher’s award - a very proud moment.
In June 2024 the school supported and raised money for St Leonards Hospice by taking part in a fun run organised by the school council. Thank you to all the children for their brilliant effort and the sponsors from friends and families, we raised a whopping £693!
This year, our focus was on reading for pleasure. We brought our favourite books from home into school and we enjoyed reading the younger pupils' books with them.
Every year we invite all the mums and nans to join the children for a mother's day lunch.
This year the children were invited to wear thier craziest hairstyle to school to support red nose day.
The children look wonderful dressed in yellow and spots to support Children in Need.
We look forward to our annual Christmas Lunch! it is a wholesome experience for the entire school.
Children who are apart of Brownies, Cubs, Rainbows or Scout were invited to wear their club uniform to school.
Each term, we walk through our local villages, posting messages to wish those living in our community.
This truly was a special day celebrating the queen, the school and a few of our community friends enjoyed a delightful Jubilee tea.
